  • We publish the scientific periodical Biodiversity, distributed worldwide;
  • We initiate and participate in global conservation efforts;
  • We provide educational programs to schools and the general public to raise awareness, understanding and appreciation of all living things and of the intricate function of living organisms in the web of life vital to the existence of life on Earth.

Charitable Status

Biodiversity Conservancy International is a Registered Charity.
Registered Charity Number: 89518 7763 RR0001. Donations to Biodiversity Conservancy International can be made online.

Funding and Institutional Support

Biodiversity Conservancy receives funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation for the Pinhey Sand Dunes Conservation project.

The Pinhey sand dunes project also benefits from the collaboration of the National Capital Commission and financial support from TD Friends of the Environment Foundation (TD FEF) and the City of Ottawa’s Community Environmental Projects Grant Program (CEPGP).

Biodiversity Conservancy International was known formerly as Tropical Conservancy. The new name, adopted in 2012, more closely reflects the international and diverse nature of our organization’s mission.
